"TRIADA" - A Program of the Belarusian-Russian Union State
The program "TRIADA" is approved by the Union State Council of Ministers decree (#29, 29.11.2005).
The Russian-Belarusian Union State program “TRIADA” – Development and implementation of science intensive computer technologies on the basis of multi-processors computer systems in the Union State countries.
State customer-coordinator of the Program: Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation.
State customer of the Program from Russian side: Russian Federal Agency for Science and Innovations.
State customer of the Program from Belarusian side: National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Principal executor of the Program from Russian side: “Scientific-Research Center of Computer Technologies” (official web-site)
Principal executor of the Program from Belarusian side: United Institute of Informatics Problems of National Academy of Sciences (UIIP NAS of Belarus)
Period of realization: IV quarter 2005 - IV quarter 2008.
The Program is integrated and includes the priority directions that are focused on dominant problems of supercomputer technologies use mainly in the industry.
Three project directions are specified in the Program:
Several organizations take part in the Program realization:
Belarusian State University, Scientific Research Institute of Management Sys-tems, Minsk Automobile Plant, Minsk Tractor Plant, TV Sets Plant “Horizon”, several institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Belarusian National Engineering University, etc.
The creation of the family of model high-performance personal computer complexes with parallel architecture (personal clusters) is planned in the frame of the program “TRIADA”.
The complex realization results of the program "SKIF” gave to come on personal development way of competitive high level high-performance computer technique.
The next step of parallel computation principles is the development and creation of inexpensive compact computing complexes to be installed just in the offices.
The inexpensive compact personal clusters appearance makes accessible for mass use, solves the row of problems, which are concerned crossing to new level of interaction with computer techniques.
The users of multi-processors computing technique with parallel architecture should have a special style of communication with computer environments, should master special parallel algorithms and programming.
The personal clusters will give the users new abilities to create high perform-ance computing systems to be implemented in many fields of information tech-nologies.
